She made her acting debut in 2008, at age 16, when she starred in Manasugula Mathu Madhura, followed which she was part of unsuccessful ventures, including Vasanthakala.[2] Her performance in the poitical satire Kallara Santhe (2009) earned her a Filmfare nomination for Best Kannada actress, while her next film Cheluveye Ninne Nodalu released to rave reviews,[3][4] making Haripriya popular in Karnataka.[5] In 2010, she also forayed into the Tamil and Telugu film industries with Kanagavel Kaaka,[6] and Bhumika Chawla's maiden production, Takita Takita, respectively, with the latter emerging a moderate success.[7] Currently, she has become busy with Tamil and Telugu projects, with Nande being her only Kannada project, while working on Cheran's Muran in Tamil and Pilla Zamindar in Telugu.
